Epoché Psychotherapy

Rates & insurance

What I charge, what insurance covers, and what to expect at the time of service. Money is one of the things therapy is often vague about; this page is the opposite.

Insurance

In-Network With:

If you have one of these plans, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your plan (copay, coinsurance, deductible). I can help you understand your benefits.

Many clients pay only a $20-50 copay per session when using insurance.

Out-of-Network Insurance:

If I am not in network with your plan:

Many clients with PPO plans receive partial reimbursement.

I also work with Thrizer to simplify out-of-network reimbursement. Instead of paying the full session fee and waiting for your insurance to reimburse you, Thrizer handles the claims process so you only pay your estimated copay at the time of service. Ask about this during your consultation.

Payment methods

I accept:

Payment is processed automatically after each session.

Standard therapy sessions

Individual Psychotherapy (55 minutes)

$175 per session (covered by insurance)

This includes:

A limited number of sliding-scale spots may be available. If cost is a barrier, ask during our consultation.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP)

Offered in collaboration with Journey Clinical.

Important:

All medical evaluation, screening, prescribing, and follow-up are handled by licensed prescribers through Journey Clinical. I do not prescribe or dispense ketamine. You pay Journey Clinical separately for medical services.

Journey Clinical takes some insurances. The initial psych evaluation is $250 and the follow up medication management meeting is $150; these prices are not inclusive of any prescriptions.

Extended trauma sessions

$175 per hour. Three-hour daily maximum.

For situations where a longer single session is the right structural choice for a specific piece of work — EMDR, Brainspotting, or Flash Technique processing that benefits from more time in a sitting than a standard session allows. These are not insurance-billable; payment is at the time of service. More about when extended sessions make sense →

Good faith estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your therapy will cost.

You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
